Paris: Delegates of more than 90 major cities were meeting at the first-ever Together4Climate event in an effort to make communities cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable, while simultaneously growing the green economy and promoting innovation.
The majors of London, Paris, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Quito, Vancouver, Mexico City, Milan, Seattle, Auckland, and Cape Town committed to cut transportation-related pollution by signing the Fossil-Fuel Free Streets Declaration. The pledge encourages cities to transition to clean transit and ensuring that a major area of the city will be zero emission by 2030. Participating cities are committing to collaborate with vehicle suppliers, promote walking and cycling, and publicly report progress every two years.
